Commonly Asked Questions

Will my daughter play on co-ed teams?

Our youngest league (tee ball) is co-ed. The three oldest leagues are all-girl leagues. The only league that is a "gray area" from year to year is 6U Softball. We look for at least 24 girls to have a 6U Softball league. If too few register, we give the option of a refund or allowing them to play with the 6U Baseball league.

How many games? And do we need to travel?

If your child plays in one of the older leagues—8U, 10U or 12U—then expect to travel for games. There will be 5 to 6 games here in Trigg and 5 to 6 games away. Our competitors include…

  • Caldwell County
  • Crittenden County
  • Dawson Springs
  • Lyon County

What facilities are used for baseball and tee ball?

All baseball and tee ball practices and home games are held on fields at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.

How can I find the schedule?

Once registered, you can always find the most up-to-date info by logging into your SportsEngine account.

Other updates are posted on the Facebook page however the app should always be your first go-to.

How am I expected to show support?

Parents are expected to carry themselves in a way that demonstrates the same level of sportsmanship as expected from our athletes. There is never any alcohol allowed at games (or practices). Yelling and swearing at the referees or the kids (even the other team) is absolutely prohibited. Face and body fan paint—though unconventional, no one here will judge.

What equipment do we need?

T Ball players get—and can keep—a team jersey and hat. You'll be required to get a bat and glove

Baseball players get and can keep

  • team jersey
  • belt
  • hat

Baseball players need to get

  • pants
  • glove
  • bat

You can find this gear at any sport retailers (e.g. Hibbett's, Athletic Center in Princeton, Clarksville sports retailers, etc.) Other equipment is optional.

How can I know when signups are for other sports?

If your child is interested in playing other sports, sign up for the like-clockwork notifications. We recommend this even if your child is already enrolled in a TCYAA sport. You'll never miss another deadline to register your athlete.

Yes! I'm ready. How do I sign up my athlete to play?
